Technology is a magical thing. And technology in the dental field is no exception (for proof, take a look at our recent post about Vista Dental Care’s beloved in-office Cerec system).
And while high-tech dental solutions are thrilling to our fellow dental professionals, they might not be so fascinating to you as a patient.
That said, there are many, many dental-related apps out there that totally worth your while. And Brush DJ is a perfect example.
Okay, we will be honest. We are a little bit “ehh” when we first heard about this app, which promises to “make brushing your teeth fun and effective”.
Basically, Brush DJ is a lighthearted way to “time” yourself so that you know just how long to keep brushing your teeth. It plays two minutes worth (which is, of course, the ADA-recommended amount of time that you should dedicate to every toothbrushing session) of music from your song collection so that you do not brush in boredom.
Another thing that we love about Brush DJ is the fact that it can be used to set reminders for lots of dental-related tasks. For example, you can set a reminder to toss out your toothbrush every 3 months (which you can read more about in our recent post The #1 Toothbrush Care Faux Pas (And A Few Tips To Help You Fix It), a reminder to rinse with mouthwash or a reminder to floss twice daily. It is also a handy tool to help you remember to schedule your next dental visit.
Oh, and best of all, it’s totally free.
Trust us, you’ll love it, whether or not you are an oral health enthusiast!
