Last year, we touched briefly on National Smile Month in A National Smile Week Round-Up Of Reasons To Smile, but we wanted to give you a more in-depth information session this time around.
Here is what you should know:
The event is based in the UK.
And we are perfectly fine with using it as an excuse to talk about oral health care regardless, because we are us. Besides, everyone could use a little reminder to prioritize their dental hygiene, right?
It is put on by the Oral Health Foundation.
With the help of a variety of noteworthy organizations and companies, of course.
It takes place from May 16th through June 16th.
So, yeah, it’s already happening. Yay!
The goal is to encourage people to brush their teeth at the end of the day (and at least one other occasion) with a fluoride toothpaste, cut down on sugary foods and drinks and visit your dentist on a regular basis.
Pretty reasonable, we feel.
Well, what are you waiting for? Start spreading the word on social media and embodying the National Smile Month spirit by treating your teeth like royalty!
