To celebrate Thanksgiving, we have rounded up three scrumptious foods that will give your body and your smile a healthy boost.
Cranberries are delicious. We touched on their benefits in 5 MORE Mouth-Healthy Foods You Should Be Eating, but we don’t mind repeating ourselves when it comes to cranberries!
Gnawing on foods that have a lot of fiber—like carrots—can lead to increased production of saliva, which can wash away not-so-healthy food particles from previous indulgences. They also boast Vitamin A, Vitamin K & C and potassium.
Nutrient-rich and full of fiber (not to mention beta-carotene, which is apparently converted to Vitamin A in the body), pumpkin is a terrific holiday snack choice, granted that you stick to the real thing and not, you know, a pumpkin spice latte.
Oh and pumpkin seeds are packed with protein, fiber and many other minerals, such as iron, copper, magnesium, manganese, phosphorous, zinc, potassium, folate, niacin and selenium, so indulge away.
You can also enjoy pears, apples, onions and cheese while simultaneously improving your oral health. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
