2017 is finally here! Last year, we explained why brushing and flossing twice a day was the perfect new year resolution (and we stand by that), but there is plenty more dental advice where that came from!
Needless to say, the beginning of the year is a great time to implement new lifestyle habits. So, without further preamble, the best way to elevate your oral health in 2017 is to…drumroll, please…visit your dentist.
You may feel a bit let down right now, but give us a minute to explain. While there are many across-the-board oral care strategies to consider—i.e. replacing your toothbrush every 3-4 months, eating smile-boosting foods, brushing and flossing regularly, etc.—it is vital for patients to communicate their concerns with their dentist.
Why? Because one’s own dentist is someone who can dish up specific, customized insight about what to focus on. After all, they probably know your mouth better than anyone else.
Now, don’t dawdle and make an appointment with your dentist ASAP. The sooner you do, the sooner you will be able to sort out your new year dental resolutions and plot your sticking-with-it strategy.
