Your winter blues are probably fading away, no doubt due in part to the marvelous sunshine that keeps popping up in our lives. Isn’t it splendid?
Of course it is! In fact, we will admit that we are downright overjoyed at the thought of upcoming barbecues, picnics and relaxing poolside get-togethers.
Being the dental-obsessed folks that you know and, hopefully, love, we figured that we would issue one teeny tiny little note on the topic of your teeth. It’s just our M.O at this point.
Now, this is going to sound a tad odd, but it had to be said. Much like you must protect your skin from the sun’s rays, you must also protect your mouth.
As a general rule, we recommend that you brush your teeth as soon as possible after stepping out of chlorinated water, as the chemicals aren’t necessarily always great for your pearly-whites, stay hydrated and, perhaps most importantly, that you plop on a large-brimmed hat, slather yourself in sunscreen every few hours and regularly swipe on a UV-blocking chapstick.
Enjoy the rays!
