Brushing your teeth for two full minutes, twice a day is fantastic. In fact, we sincerely hope that you are doing this; your oral health depends on it.
But we did want to take a quick time out to remind you that it is sooooooo important to remember to not brush too hard. Yes, this is possible!
Overzealous brushing can do way more harm than good. You might actually damage your gums or your tongue with this habit. Yikes.
If you experience soreness or sensitivity after you wrap up your tooth-brushing session, you are probably brushing too hard (but you should check in with your dentist either way, just to be on the safe side).
Treat your smile with love and care. Be gentle! And consider scooping up a soft-bristled brush.
